Breakfast planned to honor Scouts

The Williamsport United Methodist Men sponsors Boy Scout Troop 17 and Cub Scout Pack 17. They invite all Scouts of Troop 17 from 1914 to 2010 to a breakfast at Williamsport United Methodist Church, 25 E. Church St., on Saturday, Feb. 6, beginning at 8 a.m.

The breakfast will celebrate Boy Scout Troop 17's 96 years of Scouting and the Boy Scouts of America's 100 years of Scouting.

Call the church office at 301-223-7040 by Tuesday, Feb. 2, to let them know you will be attending. Please bring pictures and stories to share at the breakfast.

Little League to hold registration

It's that time again for those ages 5 to 16 interested in playing T-ball, minor league, Little League, Junior League and Senior League baseball.

Conococheague Little League will hold registration at Williamsport Town Hall Thursday and Friday, Feb. 11 and 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Registration costs $85 for a single player or $95 per family, which includes the fundraiser and the opportunity to make $65 back. Fees are due at the time of registration. Any questions, call Walt Williams at 301-331-6111.

Rules clinic to be held

District 1 Little League plans to hold a rules clinic each Tuesday in February for managers, coaches and anyone wanting to be an umpire. The clinics will be held at the Church of Christ on Leitersburg Pike, beginning Feb. 2 at 6 p.m.

Indoor yard sale planned at St. James church

St. James Brethren Church, 17718 Lappans Road (Md. 68), will hold its annual indoor yard sale Saturday, Feb. 27, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast and a light lunch will be available for purchase. Some spaces are still available and cost $15 each. Tables rent for an additional $5 each. To reserve space or rent tables, call Sam or Brenda Griffith at 301-582-3343.

Pampered Chef fundraiser to aid band

The Blue Band Uniform Fund is selling Pampered Chef raffle tickets. A ticket costs $5 and has 31 chances to win Pampered Chef prizes.

The prizes will be awarded in March. Tickets will be available starting Monday. To purchase a ticket, contact a Band Boosters member or Karen Long at 301-582-3819 or k.long@myactv.net.
