Musical event planned at museum

Consort members Jeffrey Clise, Brenda Slick, Naomi Styer and David Styer will perform Sunday, Jan. 31, at 2:30 p.m. at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown City Park.

The group will perform "Gloucestershire Wassail," "January Carol" and "Greensleeves," among other selections for the mid-winter concert. Admission is free.

Mardi Gras night set for Feb. 13

St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Halfway will hold its annual Mardi Gras Casino and Auction Night Saturday, Feb. 13, from 7 to 11 p.m. in the parish center. The church is on the corner of Halfway Boulevard and Virginia Avenue.

The pre-Lenten gala and fundraiser includes casino, board and bingo games, provided by the Hagerstown Exchange Club, a cocktail buffet of gourmet finger foods, a Bavarian dessert and coffee table, a 50/50 cash raffle, both a silent and live auction of items, including season tickets to Toby's Dinner Theatre, a full-year membership at Planet Fitness, Orioles tickets, gift certificates, and services from local businesses and restaurants.

In addition, participants will receive $50 in "funny money" to get started at the games. A cash bar will be available.

Proceeds benefit the Hagerstown Parent-Child Center and St. Joseph Catholic Church's Growth and Expansion Fund and its facilities.

Tickets cost $25 per person and can also be purchased at the door. Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 14. For more information or tickets, call 301-797-9445.

Bingo event to benefit band

On Sunday, Feb. 28, the Williamsport Band Boosters will host a Longaberger and Vera Bradley bingo event at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with lunch to be provided by the Elks Lodge at noon. Bingo is set to begin at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments, raffles and tip jars will also be available.

Tickets cost $25, which includes meal and 25 games of bingo. For more information, contact a band member or call Kim Baker at 240-520-6954.

Tooth Fairy Fun Day

Regal Valley Mall Stadium 16 at Valley Mall will be the setting for Tooth Fairy Fun Day Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The event is being held in conjunction with the showing of the movie, "Tooth Fairy," staring Dwayne Johnson.

Activities include an inflatable bounce, ring-toss game, coloring, arts and crafts, games and face painting. Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex will be on hand with information available about public skate times, hockey lessons, pond hockey and skate lessons.

The Humane Society of Washington County will also be on site with live animals and information about pet adoption. Pet-friendly donations will be accepted to support the animals at the shelter. The event is free.
